Yoga can help keep the joints mobile, promotes muscle tone, improves balance and co-
ordination and is said to help boost the immune system.
This is a gentle yoga class suitable for the over 50s. Simple stretches and breathing
practices help to relax the body and mind. Each class is slightly different, but the basic
format is a short period of quiet reflection followed by a warm up leading into gentle
stretches and yoga poses and finishing with a relaxation. (People’s favourite bit!)
Melissa is a BWY qualified yoga teacher with 20 years experience. In addition to teaching
regular yoga classes she runs laughter sessions and face yoga classes and is a qualified
Bones For Life instructor.
